Screenprint designs

I have developed 2 screenprint designs that connect to my photographs and theme of street art.. instead of the graffitti being the art on the streets i have decided to make the images of streets the art that i will print.. possibly developing this into wallpaper designs.

Colour Blend
instead of using seperate colours on seperate screens i tried a colour blend technique to create a rainbow print
using one screen the colours magenta, yellow and cyan are poured onto the top of the screen and blended steadily using the squeegee then pulled down the screen
the colours blend together to create orange and green.. after a while of printing the magenta and cyan become lost as they are pushed further out

Colorgraph

i used one of my photographs to transform into a colorgraph, i chose this one as it had lots of texture to it. the wall was made up of different bricks and plaster. i also liked how the .. plaque contrasted against the wall, this would allow me to use a range of materials.
to create a range of textures i first affected the card by cutting into to it for the mortar and tearing away the surface to reveal a rough texture for the cement. for the bricks i used a hessian material and layered masking tape.
for the plaque i used duck tape so that it would be left blank.

i love the effect it has created i think it works really well and would like to look into doing this process for my final piece
